Getting started
What is Ziveo?+
Ziveo helps UK group organisers collect payments through WhatsApp. You create a Ziveo group, share a JOIN link, and members opt in from WhatsApp. When you create a payment request, Ziveo sends it to your members and keeps track of who has paid — so you spend less time chasing and updating spreadsheets.
Why use Ziveo instead of a WhatsApp group and bank transfer?+
Bank transfers move the money. Ziveo keeps track of who has paid, who still owes, sends reminders for you and gives you a live view of every collection. It adds the tracking and admin layer that a group chat and a bank app cannot.
Does Ziveo hold my money?+
No. Ziveo never holds your funds. On the Free plan, members pay you directly and Ziveo tracks who has paid. On Starter, payments are processed by Stripe and settled to your connected Stripe account. Ziveo is not in the money flow.
Do I need to be a business to use Ziveo?+
No. Ziveo is designed for individual organisers — golf captains, football managers, trip organisers and community group admins. You do not need a registered business, and the Free plan does not require a Stripe account.
How long does setup take?+
Most organisers are set up in around 10 minutes. Create your group, share your JOIN link in WhatsApp, then create your first payment request.
Do members need to download an app?+
No. Members do not download anything and do not create an account. They opt in through WhatsApp using your JOIN link and receive payment requests in the same chat.
How do members join my group?+
You share a JOIN link from your dashboard. Members tap it, send a single WhatsApp message, and they are opted in. Ziveo only messages members who have joined — it never messages people who have not opted in.
What happens if a member doesn't pay?+
Ziveo sends reminders through WhatsApp before the due date, so you do not have to. Your dashboard shows who has paid and who has not, so you can follow up only where it is needed.
Does it cost members anything to use Ziveo?+
No. Ziveo is free for members. There is no fee, no account to create and nothing to download.
How and when do I get paid?+
On the Free plan, members pay you directly by bank transfer, Monzo or PayPal, so the money reaches you as soon as their transfer clears. On Starter, payments are processed by Stripe and Stripe payouts follow the payout schedule shown in your connected Stripe account.
Is my WhatsApp number shared with anyone?+
No. Your WhatsApp number is only used to send you messages from Ziveo. It is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing. Members' numbers are stored securely and used only to send payment requests and reminders for groups they have joined. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Payments
How does the Free plan work?+
On the Free plan, members pay you directly by bank transfer, Monzo or PayPal — whatever you already use. They reply PAID in WhatsApp, Ziveo lets you know, and you confirm the payment in your dashboard once you have checked your account. No Stripe account is required and there is no Pay Now button.
How does the Starter plan work?+
On Starter, members receive a Pay Now button in their WhatsApp message. They tap it and pay by card through Stripe. Stripe verifies the payment and your dashboard updates automatically, so there is no manual bank checking.
Where does the money go?+
On Starter, payments are processed by Stripe and settled to your connected Stripe account. On the Free plan, members pay you directly. Ziveo does not hold your funds.
Are there transaction fees?+
Ziveo does not charge its own transaction fee. Standard Stripe processing fees apply to Starter payments and are taken from your payout. On the Free plan there are no payment fees, as Ziveo does not process the payment.
Can members pay in instalments?+
Yes. On the Free plan, members can make several partial payments towards a target amount and reply PAID each time. Ziveo tracks the running total for each member.
Security and trust
Is Stripe secure?+
Yes. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security — and is used by millions of businesses worldwide including Amazon, Shopify and Deliveroo. Ziveo never stores card details.
Is Ziveo a registered company?+
Yes. Ziveo is operated by UK Net Pro Ltd, Company No. 15765940, registered in England and Wales. We are also registered with the ICO (ZC151422) for data protection.
How is my data protected?+
Ziveo is GDPR compliant. Member WhatsApp numbers are only used to send payment requests. Members can opt out at any time by replying STOP. We never share data with third parties for marketing.
Managing your account
Can I cancel my subscription?+
Yes. You can cancel at any time from your Ziveo dashboard. You keep access until the end of your current billing period, then your account moves to the Free plan.
How do I get support?+
Email hello@getziveo.com. We aim to respond within one working day.
Can I use Ziveo for non-sports groups?+
Yes. Ziveo works for golf societies, football teams, swimming clubs, holiday trips, dinner dances, community groups, residents associations and events — any group that collects money from its members.
What happens if a member opts out?+
If a member replies STOP, they are removed from future WhatsApp messages and you are notified in your dashboard. They can rejoin at any time using your JOIN link.
Is there a limit on how many members or events I can have?+
Ziveo operates a fair use policy, so there are no hard limits. Ziveo is designed for genuine group payment collection.
